Assertiveness for mystics who like to be nice
Plus, how to feel heard and seen, the power of playtime, and more

Did you know July’s full moon is called the Buck Moon? 🦌 During the month of July, a male deer’s antlers grow the fastest and reach its annual growth potential.

COMMUNICATION: Effective communication is the cornerstone of feeling empowered, visible and safe. We often believe that it’s the other person’s responsibility to help us feel seen and heard, yet often we must take the first steps to be heard, 📣 and model for others how we want them to communicate or listen.
A popular approach is Nonviolent Communication, or NVC. 💬 Many do not realize that when we are hurt or trauma gets triggered, we can accidentally communicate in ways that are hurtful in return. NVC teaches clear, empathic communication in four steps: Stating observations, then feelings, then needs, then requests.
The goal is to bring everyone in the conversation to what really matters - without the use of guilt, humiliation, or shame.
PLAYTIME: In our fast-paced, productivity-driven world, it's easy to forget the power of play. 🎢 But this lighthearted practice isn't just for kids—it's a vital component of high-vibe living. Studies show that regularly engaging in playful activities can reduce stress, boost creativity, and even strengthen our immune systems.
When we tap into our inner child, we access a wellspring of imagination, curiosity, and pure joy. So, whether it's dancing like no one's watching, getting lost in a good book, or trying a new hobby, make time for playful exploration. Embrace your sense of wonder and let the good vibes flow.

ASSERT THIS: Assertiveness is the sweet spot between passive and aggressive communication—a powerful tool for self-expression and boundary-setting. 💪 By cultivating assertiveness, you'll not only feel more confident in your interactions but also command more respect from others.
Research even suggests that assertive individuals experience lower stress levels and enhanced overall well-being. Start by identifying your needs and learning to voice them with clarity and conviction. Practice saying "no" without guilt and advocating for your rights. As you strengthen this skill, you'll unlock a transformative sense of personal power that radiates through every aspect of your life.
